Christmas Morning began with Emilee comes to visit with me downstairs. It was just her and I up early and the house was quiet. I was working on this blog and we talked about the jumping on the trampoline and the activities from the day before. Then we decided to carol Peter and Megan awake, which took some decision making, but we got it done. By then everyone was awakening and Christmas was off and running. She went back upstairs for this photo.
Now, as Kim says, the real work of Christmas begins: getting the toys out of the packages.
Matthew had made the cinnamon roll tree the night before and we baked it and dove in, right after the presents were all opened.
Emilee plays chess with her Rapunzel doll. (I guess.)
We gave everyone a Chinese Checkers game and I played a round with Emilee and Megan right before we head off to church.
After church, we make the dinner; here Megan's shaping the orange rolls.
Dinner's ready! It's ham, Matthew's creamy baked potatoes, green beans, salads and fancy drinks.
Merry Christmas!
