Eric married Casey in a lovely outdoor wedding this past weekend, and I was fortunate enough to be able to attend. Then we walked across the road to Log Haven restaurant where we had an amazing meal and good visiting at our table. I left before the dancing got going, but I heard it was really fun. Fun for the young folks, that is!
Here are some photos from that event. Let me rephrase that. Here are a LOT of photos from that event. I've actually split them into two and put the flowers up on my personal blog.
I always start with my Mom and Dad--some of the most important people there (besides the bride and groom and their parents).
There were a lot of lovely touches like these: flowers suspended in a clear jar from a shepherd's hook; these were placed every other row in the center of the chairs.
Mom and Dad visiting with Robin and her mother Shirley.
The couple stood here to get married. You'll see in a minute.
Cynthia's arrived, and confers with mother about getting her corsage pinned on.
The very beautiful Rebecca and her boys arrive. Her sister helped corral the youngsters.
The only shot I could get of Jack--he moves around a lot, like any young boy.
Cynthia chats with my father's sisters: Naomi and Charlene, our favorite aunties.
Dad with Christine.
Two more fabulous women: Constance and Emily (the groom's sister)
Constance's daughter was busy trying to take pictures of everyone with her grandmother Christine's cell phone.
Naomi, Charlene and me--an auntie of the groom. I loved it when Charlene and I discovered that we owned the exact same watch. I feel like I'm her clone. Actually, both of these wonderful women have had huge impact on my life.
A lovely summer's eve with bright flowers everywhere.
Gary, the groom's father, led the way and Eric (the groom) walked with his mother down the aisle. I liked that he kissed her before he went over and waited for his bride. She walked down the driveway to our right, across the back and up to the front on the arm of her father, who then lifted her veil and kissed her.
They've exchanged vows and rings and kissed! and now they're on their way.
Cynthia and her daughter Emily.
We walked across Millcreek Canyon Road and up to this restaurant: Log Haven.
The reception was in the inner courtyard, and was so amazing. Christine chats with Rachelle, who is holding Archer--the newest great-grandchild in our family. Pete and Thea are his parents, but I didn't get too many snapshots after the dinner started, so missed out on a lot.
Emily, Cynthia and Gary
This one's for Barbara, who couldn't come--the dazzling bridal couple.
Casey assented to my request for a shot of the back of her dress. I was told that she had the lacy top added.
The cake was frosted and decorated to coordinate with all the soft flowers and tones in the wedding.
Here's one shot of the flowers.
