Summer Swimmers: Chad's Family

Alexander and Andrew came for a visit.  Grandpa filled up the pool.

Andrew's face is pure happiness.

They took turns running and splashing in the water.

The crowd these boys are playing to.

The bucket dump is always entertaining.

Especially if you try it on yourself.

Pouring removes even more water from the pool.  We'd blew most of it up in the morning, filled it and let it warm up for when the boys came over.

So, then we had to fill it up.  The water in the hose is really cold.  Not Utah cold, but just California-comparatively cold, for that day was the end of a five-day heat wave that saw temperatures hit above the hundred mark for several days in a row.

We made fajitas and Chad stood outside in the heat grilling them.  They were delicious. Afterwards we had Andrew's favorite cake--without frosting, he cautions.  I don't tell him that it's my Lemon Cake and that it has a glaze on it.  The day winds down, the parents need a nap, the dishes are done.

Come again, boys!
