We we've taken the plunge, we are now officially a traditional family.
2 parents...check.
2.3 kids...well more like 1.3 kids, but ...check.
Minivan...check.
But this is not your parent's minivan...well at least it's not my parents minivan. Kristen picked the model, I picked the features. So Kristen picked it due to it's good gas mileage, triple crash zones, 5 star safety rating, blah, blah, blah... I picked it because it has a kicking stereo system with DVD player (Kristen is now driving on all outings and I watch movies with the boys) Navigation system (on the rare occasion I am driving, I will not have to stop and ask directions) But the coolest part about this car is that you can shout directions and the car will do your bidding (much more effective than my wife or kids). "Temperature 71 degrees"...done; "Play DVD"...done; "Map Home"(navigation system)...done; "Send Birthday card to Sister"... OK so we didn't get the top of the line model - I hear that one will even wash your dishes, but since we haven't even learned to use our dishwasher (Our dishwasher doesn't accept verbal commands) it made little sense to invest in that option. Anyway we are thrilled with our purchase, and intend on driving to all occasions this summer (current plans call for around 5,000 miles by September). So we look forward to chauffeuring you all around at some point.
| Oh yeah...Alex had his three year old birthday this weekend. |
